Concept
Norma Terrace was commissioned as a project to transform a dated inter-terrace purchased by the homeowner. We uplifted the property with a modern minimalistic design that brought in light and maximized the land size with a 2 1/2 storey abode
Approach
The architecture for Norma Terrace utilizes a modern mimalistic style that sought to maximize the land area as well as the elevation of the built-in area. High ceilings were featured in every floor of the property from 3.2m to 5m on the Attic storey. Internally, an eclectic interior style was used with a cantilever staircase as a key feature
Functionality
The property was designed to house a modest family unit with 3 bedrooms and the requisite functional areas. The Attic storey is especially noteworthy with 5m height and designed for a generous bedroom, study room and open terrace area

With TRACE I was able to build a new home for my family. They helped us explore several options in the beginning to best fit our needs. One of the main concerns were to brighten up the house as an inter-Terrace house is limited to natural light. TRACE have creatively tackled this problem by designing a slot between the neighboring wall to bring in light and break the inter-Terrace look. Even with our specific requirements and a fixed budget, TRACE have built us an efficient yet modern looking building that stands out in our neighborhood.
